Davao City to Bislig City bus guide
Davao City to Bislig City is the longest of the Bislig corridors at 315 kilometers, running north through Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro before crossing into Surigao del Sur. Bachelor Express is the only operator, in air-conditioned regular service.
Route overview and terminal information
Buses leave the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal in Ecoland and finish at Mangagoy, the district of Bislig City where the terminal sits. Operator boards and tickets use Mangagoy; MindaRide accepts either name.
- Average travel time: 7 to 8 hours.
- Fares: A flat P464.00 air-conditioned fare.
- Departures: 18 a day, from 2:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on two different timetables.
The timetable changes with the day
- Friday to Monday: Departures every 40 minutes through the early morning from 2:00 AM, thinning to hourly after 9:40 AM, with the last bus at 4:00 PM.
- Tuesday to Thursday: An hourly pattern from 3:00 AM that tightens to every 30 minutes after midday, finishing at 3:30 PM.
The two sets cover the whole week between them. The midweek list starts an hour later and finishes half an hour earlier, which matters if you were counting on the first or last bus.
Where the bus stops
As far as the Davao de Oro towns this is the same road as the Davao to Butuan run, which is why the bus can be full leaving Davao even though most passengers are travelling a fraction of the distance.
- Davao del Norte: Panabo City Terminal, Carmen, and Tagum City.
- Davao de Oro: Mawab, Nabunturan, Montevista, and Monkayo, strung along the highway.
- Into Surigao del Sur: The road crosses the provincial boundary past Monkayo and runs east to Mangagoy.
Practical travel tips
- Take an early departure: With 7 to 8 hours on the road and a last bus in the mid-afternoon, a late start means arriving at night.
- Expect a full bus out of Davao: The Davao de Oro towns are served by this bus and by the Butuan services on the same highway. Boarding early at Ecoland is worth the wait for a seat.
- Look for Mangagoy on the board: The destination is signed by the district, not the city.
- Carry a valid ID: The route crosses three provincial boundaries and passes routine highway checkpoints.
Coming back
Bislig City to Davao runs the same fare and journey time, but MindaRide does not yet hold the intermediate stop list for that direction - only the two endpoints. Confirm which towns the return bus works at the terminal.
Travel advice
Board early. Departures run from 2:00 AM and the last one leaves mid-afternoon, on a journey of 7 to 8 hours - the timetable is built around arriving before or shortly after dark, not around late travel. The bus follows the same highway as the Butuan run as far as Trento, so it fills with passengers making much shorter trips.
How MindaRide verifies this route
Fares, the two day-set timetables, and the stop sequence are read from normalized MindaRide route data, with routing-only waypoints excluded from the visible stop list.
